📙 Step-by-step guide
Here's how to plan your Daily Routes, which you can also optimize to maximize your
employees travel time and costs. Daily routes are created from visits, so for each job you must first create the visits associated with it, as follows:
In the Job Space tab, click on + in the Work orders / Visits section.
Add the basic information and save by clicking on ✔️ to save.
You can then open the work order by clicking on the visit in the list.
Once you've created your visits, you can start creating your daily routes as follows:
Step 1: Activate the Planner in the Calendar:
On the Calendar tab, click on Planner on the right of the screen to display it at the bottom of the page.
Step 2: Make sure the resources to which you assign the route appear in the Calendar
Click on the Display button in the top right-hand corner of the Calendar
Click on Resources (click here to see How to create a resource). Check all the employees who will run the routes so that they appear in the Calendar.
Step 3: Filter the list of visits by desired status and date
Click on the Filters button of the Planner
Select filters related to the visits to be scheduled (i.e. status, dates, etc.)
Click Apply to save filters
The list of visits corresponding to your sorting will appear at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: Create your route in the calendar
In the Calendar under the designated resource, define a block with your mouse.
Select New run from the suggestions at the bottom of the screen
Step 5: Enter the route information
Name the route e.g. Service calls on February 3, 2023
Adjust block hours as required
Add or modify resources as required
Save
Step 6: Adjust display to assign route
Click on the Display options button in the Planner and make sure you add the route column to the grid, checking the box if necessary.
Step 7: Assign each visit to a route
Step 8: Optimize your route
Click on the Route in the calendar
Click on Open run in the window
Click on Actions, then on Modify route
Re-click on Actions, Optimize route and finally, Save
