📙 Step-by-step guide

Plannit automatically creates a numbered job folder for each new service request in order to facilitate the tracking of:

  • All communications between you and your client related to each job in the same place

  • The status of each activity related to this job request visit, quote, invoice, payment, etc.

  • Important information related to this request i.e. total hours worked, dollars invoiced, etc.

Here is a diagram to illustrate the job concept in Plannit:

Here is how you manage service requests in Plannit:

Step 1: Create a "job" folder for each new service request

From the Dashboard:

  • Click on +Job

  • Create a contact (see below) or choose from your list of existing clients

Note

Plannit can automatically create service requests with its Website integration. Your clients will fill out a request form on your website and you will see the requests in your Dashboard (see below) and all you have to do is click on it to move to the next steps.

Step 2: Add details to the job and/or communicate with your client to confirm next steps

Add a description of the work (optional but practical to have a quick reference) and/or respond quickly to your client's service request to confirm next steps leading to dollars.

Step 3: Associate all activities and documents related to the service request based on your business flow

Select the job from the "Job List" tab and click to open.

Once opened, click on one of the below icons, based on what you want to do next i.e. send a quote, schedule a visit, etc. (Routes are available on the Premium and Premium + plans)

This will automatically link the next activity to your job so you never loose sight of what is going on. Repeating the above steps for each activity will make your follow ups on each job easier than ever.
