This guide provides instructions for associating service contacts with the billing contact. This allows you to send a quote and invoices to your customer (e.g. a contractor or homeowner) while directing your employees or sending the work order to the contact who will receive the service.
Create or identify a main contact
The main, or billing contact, is the person who requests your services and who will be quoted and/or billed for the services received.
Note that this is a contact with no special features at this stage.
Create or identify intervention contact(s)
The intervention contact is the person and place where you need to deliver your service.
In the intervention contact :
Click on the + in the Associated contacts section.
Enter the name of the main contact you wish to associate.
Activate Send invoices to this contact and click on the Save contact button.
Repeat the operation for each intervention contact to be associated with the main contact.
Note
Now, invoices and quotes from these contacts will automatically be sent to the main contact, associated with the billing.
Send documents to respective contacts
Once the association has been made, the advantage of Plannit is that you can create a quote and invoices in the name of the intervention contact, while sending communications and these documents to the main contact.
Your work orders and intervention address will be associated with the contact to whom you need to deliver your service.
Tip
In your main contact, you can note the list of all your associated intervention contacts. This can be useful for checking that all your contacts are associated.
