Create your routes with geo-located addresses

Geolocating your addresses ensures that they appear on the map when you create routes (for packages with Routes and GPS). Geolocation is performed from the contact form, in each of the addresses linked to it.

How to geo locate an address recognized by Google Maps

In the Address section of the contact form, click on the + to add an address

  • Type the address in the top line to scroll the address list in Google Maps

  • Select the one you're looking for and the fields will fill in automatically, then save.

Addresses created this way will be geo-located on routes and/or maps in Plannit.

If the contact already has an address, click on the pencil to edit it and follow the instructions above.

How to geo locate an address not yet recognized by Google Maps

Step 1 -

On Google Chrome or another search engine:

  1. Search for the address online and click on Maps

  2. Place a point on the Map where the new building is located, or as close as possible, to get the longitude and latitude coordinates.

  3. Click on the share button at the bottom and copy the coordinates

Step 2 -

On Plannit:

  1. In the contact form, in the Address section, click on the + to add an address

  2. Add the address manually in each respective section ie. Address, City, Province etc.

  3. Click on Map

4. Type in the Latitude and Longitude information.

You can move the point on the map in Satellite mode to position it as close as possible to the desired location.

5. Save
