Sample payment schedules for your quotes

The following are specific examples of payment schedules on quotes we commonly see to help you.

Before you start, you may want to read Payment schedules for quotes to read the description of the fields.

Quote with 1 invoice and 1 payment

By default, the schedule in the submission settings corresponds to 1 submission with 1 invoice and 1 payment. By clicking on the payment line, you can customize by following steps 2, 3 and 4 below.

A "Planned date" will automatically send the invoice to the client on that date versus a "To be planned" will require a manual selection of the date before sending the invoice.

Quote with 1 invoice, with a deposit on approval and payment at the end of the work

  1. Add a 2nd payment in the schedule

  2. Edit following steps 2, 3, 4 and 5

  1. Click on the payment line to adjust the information for the 1st payment

  2. Edit by following steps 2, 3, 4 and 5 below.

This will automatically send the invoice to the client upon approval of the quote and you will have to manually send the last payment request at the end of the work (make sure to select a date before sending it to make sure it appears in your sales reports)

Quote with 1 invoice and multiple payments at pre-determined dates

Step 1: Click on "Add a payment" to reflect the number of lines corresponding to the total number of payments associated with the invoice

Step 2: Click on each payment line and adjust by following 1, 2 and 3 below.

This will automatically send the invoices to your clients at the scheduled dates.

Quote with multiple invoices (ex.: annual contracts with monthly payments, etc.)

Step 1: Adjust the number of invoices desired in the payment schedule

Step 2: Click on each line and adjust the invoice information following 1, 2, 3 and 4 below)

This will automatically send the invoices to your clients at the scheduled dates.

Quote with several payment schedules (e.g.: 1 payment in advance with discount or 3 equal payments at pre-determined dates)

Step 1: Create the first calendar by following 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 below)

Step 2: Create the 2nd calendar by clicking on "Add a calendar" and adjust according to your scenario by following 1, 2, 3 4 and 5.

This will offer your client to choose which option (s)he prefers.
