System requirements and Internet package to use Plannit

The Plannit application runs on different platforms and versions, but requires certain configuration requirements for an optimal experience 🚀

🌐 Internet requirements

ℹ️ Please note that it's possible to run Plannit on platforms or browsers other than those listed here, but we will only be able to offer limited support on these and some features may not work as expected.

System requirements

💻 Desktop or laptop computer

Plannit runs on both PCs with Microsoft Windows and Macs with Apple macOS (both Intel and ARM processor versions).

Please refer to the requirements below for the operating system you are using.

Microsoft Windows

To use Plannit on a PC, you'll need:

  • PC computer with the following hardware:

    • 64-bit processor

    • 8 GB RAM or more

    • Screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels or higher

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11
    ​We support all versions still supported by the manufacturer listed here: Windows 10, Windows 11

  • Up-to-date Google Chrome browser
    ​Version 117.x or higher is recommended.

Apple macOS

To use Plannit on a Mac computer, you'll need:

  • Mac computer with the following hardware:

    • Intel 64-bit or ARM processor (Apple M1 ARM processor or higher)

    • 8 GB RAM or more

    • Screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels or higher

  • macOS 11.x (Big Sur) or higher
    ​MacOS 13.x (Ventura) or higher is recommended.

  • Up-to-date Google Chrome browser
    ​Version 117.x or higher is recommended.

Safari browser is known to have a certain problem with our integrated Plannit tools. We strongly recommend using an up-to-date version of Google Chrome.

📱 Smartphone

Plannit runs only on Apple iOS-powered smartphones or Android-compatible smartphones.

You must refer to the requirements below depending on the operating system you are using.

iOS (Apple iPhone)

To use Plannit on an iPhone, you'll need:

  • Apple smartphone model:

    • iPhone XR / XS / XS Max (2018) or later

    • iPhone SE 2nd generation (2020) or later

  • iOS 11.x or higher
    ​iOS 15.x or higher is recommended.

  • 100 MB free space minimum

Android-compatible smart phone

To use Plannit on an Android-compatible smartphone, you'll need:

  • Smartphone comparable to:

    • Samsung Galaxy S20 (2018) or later

    • Samsung Galaxy A10 / A20 (2019) or later

  • Android 5 Lollipop or higher
    ​Android 12 or higher is recommended.

  • Minimum screen resolution of 300 pixels wide
    ​720 pixels wide or more is recommended.

  • 100 MB free space minimum

🔲 Tablet

Plannit runs only on Apple iPadOS-powered tablets or Android-compatible tablets.

Please refer to the requirements below depending on the operating system you are using.

There are two categories of tablet: with cellular service or without cellular service (WiFi only). Depending on your travel needs, make sure you choose the right category.

This choice is based on your needs and use cases.

📡 Please note that Plannit requires a permanent and stable Internet connection, no offline mode is available.

iPadOS (Apple iPad)

To use Plannit on an iPad, you'll need:

  • Apple tablet model:

    • iPad 6th generation (2018) or later

    • iPad Pro 3rd generation (2018) or later

    • iPad Mini 5th generation (2019) or later

    • iPad Air 3rd generation (2019) or later

  • iPadOS 11 or higher
    ​iPadOS version 15 or higher is recommended. iOS versions are no longer supported.

  • iPad screen resolution is sufficient

  • 100 MB free space minimum

Android-compatible tablet

To use Plannit on an Android-compatible tablet, you will need:

  • Tablet comparable to:

    • Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 (2018) or later

  • Android 5 Lollipop or higher
    ​Android 12 or higher is recommended.

  • Minimum screen resolution of 1024 pixels wide

  • 100 MB free space minimum

Internet Requirements

📡 Please note that Plannit requires a permanent and stable Internet connection, no offline mode is available.

🏢 Residential or Business

According to our users' feedback and our own tests, Internet speed requirements depend largely on the number of simultaneous users and the use you'll make of Plannit.

👍 We recommend a minimum of 30 Mbps high-speed Internet (30 Mpbs download with at least 1 Mpbs upload).

Some use cases may require higher Internet speeds, for example regular uploading of large documents such as videos to Plannit.

👍 We recommend that you monitor your Internet consumption regularly when you start using Plannit to find out what your needs are.

Internet consumption is directly linked to the use you'll make of Plannit (number of Plannit users, number of customers served, uploading of large documents such as videos, etc.).

📱 Cellular

This may seem a simple question, but it's a complicated one 🧠

Plannit offers several features that consume Internet data at very different volumes and it's not possible to define a minimum, especially since consumption is directly related to how you'll use it!

👍 LTE cellular networks, or newer ones such as 5G, are recommended for an optimal experience!

3G networks, or very distant ones, will degrade your experience, as Internet speeds will be insufficient or unstable.

👍 We recommend that you regularly monitor the usage of your mobile Internet package to determine your needs. However, for most of our customers, the recent basic mobile Internet packages are sufficient for daily use.

ℹ️ Here’s what to watch out for with your mobile Internet consumption!

⚠️ Attached documents, attached photos and especially videos that you want to attach to Plannit are items.

⚠️ Multimedia files uploaded or viewed are the most demanding items on your mobile Internet data plan.
