You can add fields to your contacts, jobs, quotes, invoices and visits/work orders to capture important information specific to your operations. There are internal fields used to facilitate follow-ups and communication with your teams.
Custom fields can be used for an infinite number of scenarios such as:
Creating task lists by location, department type, etc.;
Capturing serial numbers and/or warranty numbers to facilitate future maintenance;
Capturing dimensions that you want to keep on file;
Flagging things to your technicians in one click;
Etc
How to create custom fields
The fields are created from the "Custom Fields" menu in the settings as follows:
Choose the section where you want to add the field(s);
Click on "+ add a custom field".
Select the type of field from the following list:
Custom fields by type
Text : Alphanumeric characters that fit in one line
Paragraph : Text without limits on # of characters, appropriate for longer paragraphs
Field label : Name your custom field in english and/ or french
Default value : Choose the value that will show by default when you create your documents
Copy the value to new : the chosen value will copy itself unto the next documentation when using recurrence

Number : Can contain decimals
Field label : name your custom field in english and/ or french
